A WEEK OF CONTRASTS:
Our journey over the coming week takes us through some highly contrasting energies and experiences. Lesson-bringer Saturn is the primary influencer in the first few days of the week through its alignments with Mars (April 19) and with Mercury (April 20); these conjunctions involving the Lord of Karma mark this as a time of reckoning, when many will experience a reality check with regards to their words and actions.
We often deal with limitations or restrictions when we work with Saturn's energies. The planet requires us to develop patience and maturity, since it favors slow progress rather than major leaps forward. This can cause frustration for some. Others may be feeling physically or mentally drained as the new week begins, since Saturn's energy can be depleting or depressive.
A SHIFT IN THE ENERGIES:
A tangible shift occurs in the last half of the week, when Saturn's influence subsides and two of our transpersonal planets take the reins. Revolutionary, unpredictable Uranus will conjoin Venus on Thursday, semisquare Mercury on Friday, and then enter Gemini on Saturday—the same day that passionate, catalytic Pluto squares the Sun.
A Venus-Uranus conjunction can manifest as sudden fluctuations in relationships, alliances, or financial matters. Breakdowns or breakaways may occur as those who have been feeling restless with the old forms rebel against circumstances that are too limiting or simply no longer feel authentic. Saturday's Sun-Pluto square adds to the possibility that significant changes may unfold toward the end of the week, fueled by the awareness of a power imbalance between those who have and those who have not.
URANUS ENTERS GEMINI:
The most significant of this week's events is Uranus' ingress into Gemini. This is the beginning of the planet's seven-year journey through the sign of the Twins—a time when unprecedented changes will occur in how we use our minds, how we communicate, how we define consciousness, and how we move through space and time.
In action, Uranus revolutionizes, liberates, disrupts, surprises, innovates, reinvents, awakens, shocks, and electrifies. As it applies its influence to the realms of Gemini, we are likely to see radical changes in our education systems, in journalism and the media, in the use of the airwaves for communications, in the ways we transport goods and information, and in the systems we currently use for travel.
As the planet of Higher Consciousness, Uranus is a conduit for bringing new ideas to humanity. While it travels through Gemini, we can expect an increase in spontaneous insights, inventions, and innovative ideas. In a sense, Uranus will be rewiring our brains and nervous systems, ultimately enabling us to communicate telepathically and to consciously access other dimensions.
Until our bodies and minds get acclimated to the higher frequencies of Uranus in Gemini, we may experience certain physical and mental symptoms: elevated nervous energy, being more easily distracted or forgetful, feeling spacey or lightheaded, and having sleep disruptions or feeling tired upon waking, even after a night's rest.

Monday
Mercury conjunct Saturn, Mercury conjunct Mars: The words we use and how we use them are under scrutiny with these aspects. With the Mercury-Mars alignment, people can be very direct and forthright and there is a temptation to speak or act without thinking through the repercussions. However, Saturn's involvement means that we are likely to quickly see the results of impulsive, unwise words and actions.

Venus conjunct Uranus: Restlessness coupled with a strong desire for independence and a need to be free of limiting situations can drive major changes in relationships and in how we earn or spend money. We may also be attracted to unusual people at this time, those who challenge us to express ourselves more authentically.
Venus enters Gemini: Venus will travel through Gemini from April 24 to May 18 this year. During this time, we may feel more socially inclined and are eager for situations and people that inspire our minds or add variety to our lives. We may be drawn to people because of their tone of voice, their intelligence, or their ability to speak eloquently.
Friday
Mercury semisquare Uranus: The mind could be a bit scattered today, making it harder to focus on practical matters. This aspect could bring intuitive insights; however, these are best recorded quickly since they are likely to be fleeting.
Venus conjunct Sedna: We are now ready to leave behind the old forms of relationship and to let go of stories in which we played a victim role. As we do this, we are open to new connections in which we feel in greater alignment with our spiritual nature.
Saturday
Sun square Pluto: People may be especially stubborn under this influence, fearing that to bend at all would mean giving their power away. Some may resort to power plays, manipulations, and coercion to maintain the status quo in which they feel most comfortable.
Uranus enters Gemini: Uranus will travel through Gemini from April 25, 2026, to August 3, 2032, at which time it will enter Cancer. Due to its retrograde motion, the planet will return for one last visit to Gemini from December 12, 2032 to May 22, 2033.
Uranus sextile Pallas Athena: The intuition is active today, and creative ideas are more readily available. This is a favorable influence for writing projects or speaking engagements that rely more on bringing through higher-level insights than on a logical processing of facts.
Sunday
Mercury semisquare Venus, Mercury square Jupiter, Venus sextile Neptune, Venus semisquare Jupiter: We may feel creatively or romantically inspired today. However, be aware that a strong desire for connection could result in being overly gregarious or in overidealizing another person.
